RATING

It was an ordinary weekday but we felt the need to celebrate because final exams just ended. The end of another school year, a clean break for the four of us. We decided to try Manam in the nearby Fairview Terraces Mall and thanked ourselves that we had given in to our cravings.

As I chatted with the waiter while waiting for our orders, I found out that “manam” is actually the nickname of the word “malinamnam” (delicious) and true, as we have discovered in the end, their food were all flavorful and comforting 🙂

    Ambiance ♥♥♥♥♥

We still have to see the place at night but during the day, the whole place is bright and gives that feeling of being light and happy. Front walls are made of glass making daylight seep through and the chandeliers were lit up as if we are dining in a starred hotel. Seats were all colored in sky blue and they were soft.

    Food ♥♥♥♥♥

Giving them the highest because they lived up to what they are bragging – comfort. We ordered only 3 viands (Adobo, Gising-Gising, Sisig) which were our all-time favorites and their versions comforted us thinking that there’s another place in town where we can dine in and eat what we want, and that is delicious Filipino food.

Adobo meat are all tender and the toyomansi flavor seeped through my mouth. It was the first ulam wiped out. For their Gising-gising, they use Sigarilyas instead of the usual beans. The sigarilyas were crispy like chicharon, an opportunity too to educate my daughters what a sigarilyas from bahay kubo looks and tastes like. Their Sisig tasted good too and if you are an onion lover, this one’s for you:-) The waiter let us sample their Sinigang with Watermelon (yes, watermelon) which I took note of for our next visit because it was perfect I can still the remember the taste in mouth as of writing.

For desert, we tried out their Leche Flan made with Gata (coconut Milk). We ordered for their chocolate buttercrust chienes cake but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. But their Leche Flan was sooo smooth and creamy I should have ordered an extra plate.

    Price ♥♥♥♥♥

Considering the ambiance, flavor and customer service, I’ve given them them the perfect score. With 3 viands, overflowing rice, dessert and drinks, we shelled out only roughly P700.00 I have to give plus on their serving sizes too. They have Small, Medium and Large servings in almost all their meals which makes it more affordable to try several viands in one eating, even their rice!

    Returning? Definitely Yes.
