Last week, my family and I had the opportunity to attend The Mind Museum’s 2nd Anniversary. Actually, it was only a few weeks ago when we had visited the museum. You can check out our first visit blog here so you will see how perfect that day was. That day really made our happiest family day list so we didn’t expect that there will be another visit which will be much better than that.

We enjoyed a whole new line of exhibits which we were not able to see on our last trip. Imagine, there are 250 amazing exhibits inside The Mind Museum and all of these were painstakingly created by Filipinos too! Fortunately, the museum provides a footpath (sort of a walk through which reminds me of the map we used when we went to Disney)

 Static Ball

Van Der Graaf

A Van de Graaf machine takes the mixed-up positive and negative charges of matter, and pulls them far apart from each other. This creates a build-up of electrical charge in the sphere, creating an electrical potential between the sphere and the base of the Van de Graaff generator, creating a large-potential static electricity (from The Mind Museum foot path brochure)

Fossil Excavation Site

Finding Fossils

Got the chance to be archaeologists for several minutes, digging through the sand for fossils and dinosaur bones.

Space Shell

This was my personal favorite! I didn’t get the chance to go inside the famous Planetarium in QC so I was eager to try this one out at The Mind Museum. So high-tech! You enter a dark room with comfy seats inside positioned in circle and then we watched a video up in the ceiling. It must be how astronauts feel when they are out in the space, with all the stars so near and the moon so reachable. We watched an exciting video about the Google Lunar XPrize a competition of scientists for the first one who will be able to create and make a private craft which will land on the moon. And the prize? $30 Million. That must be the most exciting competition ever!

I was able to take several shots of the video while sitting on my plush seat and this is how it looks. Soo much better in actual since this was taken on a dark room.

The most exciting part is that The Mind Museum has prepared these fantastic line up of summer programs which are not only educational but very unique as compared to other summer programs we usually see. We had the chance to have a glimpse of some of these programs from their booths during their anniversary.

Junior Mind Mover Program

We love this program where your kids will get the chance to perform lab experiments just like what real scientists do!

Junion Mind Mover

They showed us how to make our own lipbalm!

Their experiments are so cool and colorful!

Mariel likes to enroll on this program 🙂

Your kids can be the next Agatha Christie or Sherlock Holmes when they solve mysterious crimes like a real CSI. They said they sometimes put real dead persons on their activities (whooooh, scary)

Ate is a happy victim hehe

The Mind Museum offers a whole lot more for this summer.  They also have this Marine Science Camp where you and your family can experience going overnight at Aiyanar Beach, do snorkeling and explore the very colorful marine life in front of your eyes while you are deep in the ocean. Look at this magnificent photo of the resort below 🙂
