Avida Land Inspire Every Day – A Celebration Of Art, Literature and Passion In Ayala Museum

What keeps you inspired every day? For me, it’s very important that we remind ourselves as often as possible what keeps us motivated and not just be swept away with the currents in life. It’s true that sometimes, 24 hours isn’t enough for us to finish all our daily responsibilities but in order for us to have a happy and fruitful life, we have to allot a portion of our day to pursue our own passions, whatever that may be.

As for me, currently, my passions are my family, my need to learn new things, and blogging. These three things are my sources of happiness. Despite the hardships I encounter every day, the anxieties in the future, these 3 things keep me going and eventually, they all keep me in touch with God.

Recently, Avida Land, a real estate company providing “thoughtfully-designed homes”, collaborated with Ayala Museum and CNN Philippines, to inspire people to pursue their passions and strive to find a home where they can express themselves. Called the “Inspire Every Day” event, they gave free access to the public to the Ayala Museum and the Filipinas Heritage Library. The day was also jam-packed with art activities and programs aimed to make people be more in tune of the arts, literature and history.

It was a great experience for my daughter and I to enter Ayala Museum for the first time. We were curious of how it looks in the inside and we were amazed to find out that it is a huge, multi-level building full of historical pieces. There’s a vast amount of information you can get from this place and I believe that no Filipino should miss seeing this place.

Below are some of the photos I was able to capture during the day.

A patch station by ARTWORK was just one of the art activities inside the museum.

My daughter and I grabbed some minutes to enjoy designing our pouches.

Ayala Museum has a great collection of historical diorama. I remember Quezon City Circle Museum having similar diorama but the collection in Ayala are more detailed and numerous.

The scene below shows how Juan Luna was killed by traitors. I’ve seen the same horrifying scene in the film Juan Luna.

We enjoyed this part of the museum where they show the actual height of the Filipino Presidents.

In a secluded part of the museum is a small room where a huge cinema shows historical events in the country, including news clippings and what we saw then was the EDSA revolution. If we had more time, we would have stayed to watch.

There was an exhibit from Julia Nebrija called Old Manila Lego Architecture were buildings in Manila were recreated using Lego bricks. Below is just one of the several buildings displayed.

Inside the museum is a souvenir shop where you can buy different Filipiniana products and souvenirs.

If you want to see the complete collection but do not have the full day to roam around, they have a video being sold where you can just watch. I’d love to have a copy of that just to see the complete collection of the dioramas.

There’s also an exhibit of the Filipino artist Toym Imao who is very popular for his metal sculptures and paintings. With my loss of words, I can just say that his works are simply unique and eye-catching.

Behind is the in-demand fashion photographer BJ Pascual who is so young and so passionate with his craft. It’s heartwarming to see such a young person who is already accomplished but not suplado and willing to help young people who are also into photography.

Lastly, before we had lunch, we saw the web features of Avida Land and how they help home buyers choose their properties through detailed features on their website down to the color palette they like to see for their homes.
