Ajinomoto Crispy Fry Shake! Shake! Shake! Flavor Mix – Barbecue, Parmesan, Seaweed

Ajinomoto Crispy Fry is my go-to breading mix whenever we crave for crispy, battered fried chicken at home. When I saw Ajinomoto’s latest offering in the grocery, I got very excited. I had my eyes first on the Ajinomoto Crispy Fry Shake! Shake! Shake! Parmesan Cheese flavor mix but I just found out that they have other 2 more : Smokey Barbecue, and Savory Seaweed.

These Ajinomoto flavor packets are not complicated to use at all (not to mention affordable with P28/pack). Just fry your chicken using the Crispy Fry Breading Mix, remove excess oil ( I do this by dabbing my fried chicken first on paper towels) and then put them inside the Shake bag included in the packaging, pour the flavoring, and then shake! This is my youngest daughter’s favorite thing to do whenever I cook or bake in the kitchen : “Mommy, ako ang mag-shake.” Yes, she likes to help me stir, pour, and shake. I think this will be one of the best feature of the Crispy Fry Shake, when you have your children with you in the kitchen, and they help you prepare, they can do all the shaking they want!

First flavor I tried at home was not Parmesan Cheese but the Savory Seaweed. I already know how parmesan tastes like but seaweed, I never tasted fried chicken seaweed yet. And so we had fried seaweed-flavored chicken wings for dinner and the whole batch seemed to be swept away by the wind. Of course, crispy fried chicken is an all-time favorite but the whole thing tasted like snacks (if you have eaten seaweed snacks, you’ll know what I mean).

I’ve also tried the Parmesan Cheese flavor on drumsticks and then the Barbecue flavor on pork on the other days. Unfortunately, I lost my photos. But all flavors tasted great. Parmesan was my husband’s favorite while barbecue was ok for us, but we are really not that into sweet flavors. Smokiness of the barbecue flavor was mild and I am still planning on trying it on chicken.

What about you, what flavors will you be trying sometime soon?
