I’ve ordered Chooks-to-Go the day before we went to the cemetery to visit my Lola. It was a good thing that Food Panda PH was reliable and that I can pre-order the chicken. Although I opted for the pepper roast flavor, Chooks-To-Go called me that they can only deliver the sweet flavored chicken. Maybe because it was already the holidays and pepper roast might be their best-selling chicken. Chooks-to-Go is a choice for busy moms like me, like for these instances, going to the cemetery requires a lot of tasks on my part, such as...

Having the kids eat breakfast very early in the morning was a daily feat for me. I tried different strategies just to avoid me nagging on them daily to have something to eat before going to school. Some of my strategies which all FAILED were : 1. Cooking their favorite food (you know how kids are, they love hotdogs and chicken and nuggets) – BUT they can’t just eat these kinds of food everyday so I had to find another way. 2. Open the tv while they eat – I thought this will make them stay at the table and eat. What happened...

Doing the laundry can be a daunting task specially if you are not satisfied with how your clothes end up after you get them from the clothesline. Making our clothes smelling fresh is very important and that’s how I gauge it if I was really able to wash the clothes properly. A month ago, I went to the mall and had to commute. In the jeepney I rode, there were some student passengers who wore white uniforms. They looked clean to me but I smelled something unpleasant. The bad thing is that the students were girls. They may have looked...

We were once refill ink users and it didn’t take much time before we realized that we aren’t really saving a lot. At first, it was fun, being able to print out a lot but within a month or two, my kids projects looked dirty as the ink we used smudged a lot. We also noticed that the colors were not as vivid as we expected. When it was time to refill the ink, it became a bit stressful to remove the cartridges and get our fingers dirty. No wonder that when we went to the refilling station, their place was also dirty with ink. HP...

I love weekends when the four of us have free time and freedom to choose how to bond with each other. These times are precious to my husband and I because as the kids grow up, our moments together are getting less and less. We parents get more and more busy with work while the kids are the same with their school projects and their own set of friends. Sometimes, I think of ways how we can bring back the days when my daughters were still younger, when we will watch cartoons, or play board games or just talk about anything under the sun....

My eldest is using a bag made of cloth to bring her lunch to school. I washed her lunch bag once through the washing machine but when it dried up, I saw the oil stains were still there. I once thought laundry soap can clean any kind of cloth and dirt but I was wrong. Do you know what helped me? A dish washing liquid. I told myself, why didn’t I think of that right away? What do you we use to remove oils in your plates but our dish washing liquid, right? So what I did is I put a generous amount of the dish washing liquid I currently...

Having babies and toddlers, from experience, is both an enjoyable and a challenging feat. I can say that I’m lucky to have the opportunity to be with my kids since they were infants and to have a husband which was as hands on as I was. I remember that during those years, we enjoyed going to the mall and go window shopping for baby clothes, baby shoes, furniture and accessories. As we were just starting then, our money is very limited but still, I can still say that those years were fun. Any loving parent will enjoy seeing beautiful...
