What are your fears in being a mother? Like me, your list may be very long. But you know what, at least for me and in my opinion, there is only one crucial mistake that a mother can do and that is to abandon her child. As long as you are there, may you be physically present or not, but you know and your child knows that you are sincerely involved in his or her well-being,...

My family have always loved taking photos, of ourselves, our extended family members, friends, and of course for our blogs. But rarely that we get our photos taken by a professional. I remember our first family photo shoot was a budgeted one, when my girls were only toddlers. It was taken in a photo studio inside a mall. I had the photo framed and though it was obvious that the studio was a so-so, I still treasure this one because of the memories it brings. Family Portrait by Matt Lee Shoots This year, it was a great opportunity for us...

Almost half a decade from now, my kids will be young adults. And that will mean I’ll be in the mid-life adult stage (no, not the senior stage ha). And yes, time flies by so swiftly and 24 hours is just like a fleeting second. And though there are more imminent bills to pay (utilities, school fees etcetera), this is the perfect time to think of the future, in the longer term. Thinking about other kinds of savings aside from the usual bank and checking account I know was just a bit too tedious for me. I know gasgas na gasgas sa akin...

Watching movies has been our family thing ever since. When there’s an upcoming movie we like, we look forward to the showing date and we talk about it a lot. My husband and I are happy that even though our kids are already growing up and are starting to find their own interests, “movies” is still our common ground. Our family loves to watch movie series most especially Star Wars! Can’t miss Star Wars in my post because as much as my husband is the original fan in the family, all of us were already hooked into it. It’s...

This week, I had the opportunity to go with a group of mommy bloggers in the opening of Dr. Jesus Delgado Memorial Hospital’s First Time Mom Unit to the public. The happiness in the hospital was very obvious, with pink and white balloons everywhere, historical photos of the hospital, and the laughter of some of the doctors filling the lobby. Everyone was excited with the First Time Mom Unit, a small but cute, enclosed area inside DJDMH specially designed to assist soon-to-be first time moms. It will be more than a decade (I hope)...

If there is any stage in parenting where you can really use your planning skills, it’s in the planning stage of pregnancy. I can confidently say that because, in my 13 years of parenting, uncertainty starts the moment your child comes out from you in the delivery room. But while you are in the planning stage, from the time when you and your husband had just decided that you wanted that little bundle of joy to that day when you start to babyproof your home before the baby arrives, that you will be able to perfectly handle given that...

A few months ago, my husband had to rush me to a hospital in the middle of the night because of shortness of breath. I was having allergy bouts but I ignored it since I thought I was just having ordinary cough and throat irritation. But that particular night, I found myself vomiting because my throat was too irritated and when I lied down to go to sleep, I woke up and found it very hard to breathe. My husband and I went to Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center ER and for 2 to 3 hours, I was checked and given medication to ease out my...
