Snapper – Instant Photobooks To Keep Our Memorable Photos

Posted on Feb 7 2015 - 8:21am by tweenselmom

Saving digital copies of all our photos has been my husband and I’s habit ever since we met. In the past, it was very hard to keep printed photos for a long time that’s why even if we don’t have our personal scanner, my husband will always borrow his dad’s scanner just to scan our photos. Now, I think we have millions of photos stocked on our hard drives.

This is how my photo albums look like when my babies were still younger.
I used to put all kinds of cutey stuff like stickers and cut outs.

But no matter how many million photos we have on file, we still find actual photos a bit more sentimental and handy most of the time. And so, in addition to our digital photos, we also keep a handful of photo albums (wedding albums, baby photos, travel photos, etc). The feeling is still different when you browse those photos in a photo album, right? Sometimes, I almost make them like scrapbooks, putting stickers, tickets and for my baby photos, I even pasted their first hair cut from them. If I have one wish to spare just for my whim, I wish to have a room full of our  photo books.

When we travel, we make sure that we print photos to display all over the house.

Talking about photo books, there is one online photo service which can grant me my wish, Snapper. Snapper lets its customers create photo books, portfolio kits and coffee table books without even having to go to their shop. I can just upload my photos, choose the designs, and they will do the rest including shipping. I am so looking forward to see our last Disney travel on my Snapper photobook!

This is handy for all those photos that are sitting in flickr or the hard drive. cause from what I read, hard drives do have an expiration date as it is made of magnets or something of the sort, same for cds, and if they scratch or get viruses… well, there goes your photos. and same as for the photo saving sites, you don’t know when will they close… (like multiply or friendster right?) so this is totally perfect for us who love to preserve memoirs for the next generation 🙂

Really, I did not know that. Will have to check about that but it will be unfortunate if that will be true.

I agree … a printed photograph feels different from a digital one. Aside from albums, I also love “framing” photos. A friend made a comment that our house looks like a gallery 😛

It’s true! Photos from a hardbound album is far different from the digital ones. This remind me of my unfinished task of having my baby’s birth photos printed!

This is a good option for our photos to have it printed. It is our habit to keep them in our HDDs. Hoping to find more time to sort them out.

I’ve only tried using a photobook service once. It was a tedious experience for me. I hope this one from Snapper is easier to use.

We only printed our photos only during special occasions (birthday parties) as part of our decorations. We haven’t tried to make a photobook. Sounds and looks interesting to try. 🙂
