This is just a quick post and nothing negative against McDonalds. Everyone makes a mistake and what’s good about McDo is that they have a way to correct and make amends with their customers right away.
Last night, we got caught in the traffic and I decided to just drive-through McDonalds in Fairview, Regalado. My husband and kids still wanted to wait and have dinner with me, even if it was very late. I remembered repeating my orders several times to the drive-through microphone. Sensing that the crew was having problems with my orders, I again repeated my orders when I reached the window where I claimed my chicken. I thought I did enough already. It was foolish of me not to dig in and check if they served my orders right.
So I got home, and found out that the chicken pieces I got were less than what I ordered and paid. So I called McDonald’s delivery hotline 8-6236 and asked them if I can get the branch number who served my orders wrong. They gave me the number and called it but unfortunately, there were no one who answered. I called the hotline again and asked them if McDonalds has a customer service number which I then remembered was in the receipt.
They gave me (02) 863-5490 to call and someone answered me there right away. They told me that someone from the branch will be calling me about the problem. And so after 5 minutes or so, someone from McDonald’s Fairview called us and told me that they will be delivering the chicken. Although my tummy ached already because of hunger, I was still pleased that my chicken will arrive.
Some of my blogger friends shared to me that they had worse incidents like with Serene who had her spaghetti missing the sauce, and Ken with her burgers missing the patties, LOL! As I said then, maybe the crews that night were more excited to get home than us.
So always, always check your drive-through and delivery food. And don’t forget their customer service hotline in case.
My experience with them is last month when they handed us a wrong toy in happy meal which makes my son angry with us because we promised him he will get number 2, but the crew gave us number 3 which he already have it. Ang layo pa naman ng branch in our area. Kaya every time na take out I really have to check my orders na ang hirap kasi
yaiks ana! yes, i do agree. di na din talaga kasi natin macheck minsan diba.
Did they offer anything extra as a gesture? McDonald’s isn’t how they used to be, I worked there and remember the training I’ve received. I used to be so proud of them. Now I’m just disappointed most of the time I visit a branch. I just try to avoid paying attention to the crew because they’re usually my cause of disappointment.
We thought of that too May but instead of making myself depressed, ok nalang yung they gave my chicken na haha. I couldn’t help imagining your irritation but I thought, maybe yes, they need to improve their training na. It’s not an excuse siguro that the crew are very young that they can’t provide satisfactory service.
Good to know about this number. In our missing patties story, hubby went back to the said McDo and asked for his patties and something extra for his effort. They obliged and gave us nuggets. 🙂
