Globe Disney Magic – Globe Telecom Brings Disney To Filipino Families

Posted on May 6 2015 - 10:00pm by tweenselmom

Last night, May 6, 2015, was a magical night, indeed! My daughter couldn’t help telling me “Thanks, Mommy” several times for bringing her over to Globe Telecom’s “Share The Magic” Party. I had worked for Globe Telecom for over six years in the past and so I was actually expecting that this will be a wonderful night. Globe did not fail me. It was a night to remember as Globe Telecom announced its tie-up with Disney which I am sure Filipino families will all be excited about.

On our latest trip to HK Disneyland with the in-laws, their first to visit HK.

Our family had been to HongKong Disneyland thrice and until now, we are still so looking forward to going back. I can definitely say that magic comes alive when you are there. And in each of our visits, there’s always something new to keep us excited and wanting to go back. The same as with all the Disney movies! The Avengers “Age of Ultron” was brought by Disney and now, my family especially my husband is all very itchy with the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.

Globe Telecom Partners With Disney

at the Globe Disney Magic Party with Joy and her daughter Elise, with Maristel

Who won’t get excited with this news! Through this partnership, we can all watch and experience Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars anytime we want it in so many different ways, just by subscribing to Globe Telecom.

Disney Movies on Demand (DMOD) : an on-demand subscription service for Disney for selected Disney and Pixar titles such as Toy Story and Cinderella which can be viewed on any device (smartphones, desktop, and iPhone/iPads)

Disney on Demand (DOD) – on-demand subscription so we can watch selected Disney TV favorites such as Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Phineas & Ferb (yey!) on any device.

Maker on Demand – Omg! I am so outdated on this part but my 11-year old Maristel knows about Maker Studios and its artists like Bart Baker who according to her is so popular in YouTube as the “King of Parodies”, he makes funny or comedy videos based on trending music videos.

Disney Channel Apps – There will be entertainment apps which provide access to Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD.

Disney Interactive – hundreds of mobile and web-based games, apps and e-books based on Disney stories.

With Globe leading the way, we can now expect more exciting promotions whenever Disney movies will be released in theater! I can not wait how they will launch Star Wars movie in December 2015!

Globe Disney Magic – Share The Wonderful World of Globe Party

The night started with some cocktails and clouds were projected all over the walls of the party area located at  The Eye – Green Sun in Makati. And we saw a castle at the stage resembling the one in Disneyland. The venue was soon filled with corporate-dressed people, some celebrities and I saw several moms I know with their kids. My daughter and I went to the party with my friend and co-MBP head Joy Gurtiza and her daughter Elise.

Celebrities spotted at the Star Wars booth!

Our 2 girls were not that enthusiastic at first but as soon as Ysa Litton started talking in front (wearing sparkling blue) and announcing the first guest, Maris and Elise seemed to rise from the dead. Who wouldn’t be awakened hearing the voice who sang our Disney favorites in the movie Aladdin and Mulan, Ms. Lea Salonga! First time to hear her sing live and oh my! Lea’s really good and her voice was flawless. She sang the children’s classic favorite songs “A Whole New World” and guess what, the ever popular “Let It Go” from Frozen.

After Lea Salonga’s performances, Yssa requested the guests to clear the red carpet and after some minutes, Mickey and Minnie Mouse appeared. Wow, as if we were really in Disneyland again! The red curtains were then pulled down to reveal different Disney themed booths for everyone to enjoy. We went home hyped and happy with nice Disney loots!
