As my kids are growing older, they get busier with their school stuff, their increasing number of friends, music, arts, etcetera. But I don’t loathe these stuff. These are all part of growing up. So what we do as a family to make up with our “bonding” moments, we go on family food trips. We call it “food trips” because we plan it just like our travel trips : we scout the place, we check the price, the food, the opening/closing time, and then we get the map. Even if it means just going to the nearby malls and eat in a simple restaurant, we take it as a good opportunity to talk as a family and find what we missed from each other from the previous school week or work week.
Recently, I found out about OpenSnap app, which is just amazing for me. It’s just virtually the easiest app to use for food scouting.
1. You can filter it per location and per food type, and see through the photos which ones are worth checking out. With so many restaurants out there, the presentation photos make it easier for us to have an idea of what we can expect from the restaurant.
2. You can bookmark the restaurants you choose and get back to it next time.
3. It contains complete info about the restaurant : address, phone, opening/closing time, price range, rating score, parking (very important) and map.
Our next stops? Found these 2 food spots in through OpenSnap which will be perfect for our tastes. UCC Vienna Cafe for their seemingly delicious bangus which hubby likes so much and for me and the kids, a dessert stop at Pino Resto Bar.
OpenSnap has also a user-friendly website which has the great features as the app (bigger and more-mouthwatering photos too). If I am on my break time from my work at home job stints, I browse through the listings and discuss with hubby where our next food trip will be. With OpenSnap, our food trips will surely get better and better.
For more restaurants and food finds, download OpenSnap app from App Store or Google Play.
What about you, where do you plan to go this weekend?
