Finding Dory And Nemo In Cafe Aquatica

Posted on Jul 14 2016 - 3:19am by tweenselmom

We’ve recently discovered a new cafe ( I am not sure how new it is though since we haven’t been to Promenade for a long time ) and it’s called Aquatica Cafe. It’s located in ground floor of Promenade in Greenhills. Greenhills is my husband’s candyland of StarWars toys.

Dory Blue Tang Fish

Finding Dory in Aquatica Cafe , she’s so difficult to capture with the camera, you know! It seemed like she was really hiding from us.

Finding Nemo Aquarium

Yes, that’s Nemo !

I was just so delighted to find this cafe because it was quite unique because of the beautiful aquariums inside the cafe. I’ve learned from the reviews that this is a cafe / store of beta fishes (fighting fishes). I searched about fighting fishes out of curiosity and found out that these types of fishes are those which prefer to be alone, unlike those in schools of fishes. They will fight each other if they are contained in one aquarium.

Rabbit fishes

These are rabbitfishes . I was shocked when I’ve read in wikipedia that they can be used for bagoong haha. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbitfish

Discus fish

Discus fishes are those big, reddish with yellow faces

Bluelined Triggerfish

A pretty bluelined triggerfish. I had to call back the cafe to check its name. Isn’t she a beauty?

Aquatica Cafe is a comfortable place to have coffee and it has soft sofas good for the four of us. Although we did not have a chance to try their coffee at that time, their cakes looked nice inside the shelf. My girls became too busy checking out the fishes. The cafe doesn’t have that fishy smell unlike in other fish stores we have visited. The aquariums look nice and they have the calming effect on me. I always wish to have an aquarium at home but they are just too high maintenance. With the kids too busy at school and us at work, any fish won’t survive. Our pet schitzu Chewie is lucky to adapt to our lifestyle because we just ignore him most of the time. It’s a cruel world in our home for pets.

Mesmerized in Aquarium

Mesmerized. This school of fishes will make you stare at them for quite a while.

Cafe Aquatica

These cakes look nice but they also have more dishes in their menu, good for lunch or dinner.

It was awesome to see Dory in actual. She is a blue tang fish and I found out that her tails are actually venomous. So much about finding her vulnerable because of her forgetfulness in the film Finding Dory. We also saw Nemo, a clown fish, and he is smaller than we thought. Fishes are just so amazing, right! They remind us how great our Creator is for being  intelligent being able to come up with all these small but unique creatures.

Next time we visit, we’ll share how their food and coffee tastes like. Or just maybe visit it if you have time. Promenade is a cool spot to visit especially the Cinema.

My husband used to have a fighting fish as pet! Low maintenance lang sya since nasa fish bowl lang naman hehehe! Medyo mahirap nga lang kapag if you’ll try to breed them hehe! We tried that and we did not succeed hehe. Anyway I think the cafe is unique and nice! My little girl would love it there! And good thing walang fishy smell! 😉

Nice! My SIL’s husband has an aquarium at home that uses salt water so it has Dory and Nemo. May payat na hipon rin, haha. But my favorite is yung mga corals and plants. Ang ganda! As in. I’m sure my SIL’s family will enjoy there kasi mahilig sila sa ganyan. 🙂

Tamang tama itong cafe na ito para kay Enzo. Maaaliw siya while we eat hihi, kaso medyo malayo ang greenhills sa amin. huhu. I’ll wait for your blogpost about their menu:)

I’d love to take my kids here! I’ve been looking for a venue for a mini field trip for our little homeschooler but it has to be some place that will not involve a lot of walking around for me since I’m already 7.5 mos pregnant. This looks promising. 🙂

We’re near Greenhills, but we don’t usually frequent the area. We’ll check out this cafe on our next trip to Promenade.
