9th Robinsons Supermarket’s Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run

A family that stays fit together will live longer and happier together. Isn’t that right? I very well agree to that. More than keeping our family’s food healthy, we should also attain that healthy mind and body through regular exercise and fitness routine. It’s always easier said than done (I think I’ve mentioned it for a thousand times) but still, I keep my head up high because for me, it will never too late to keep up with other families who had been more fit than us. Robinsons Supermarket had been a health and fitness blessing for many families, with their easily accessible supermarkets (such as Robinsons Townville) , the Wellness Festival campaign, and now a Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run event.

Regine Tolentino and coaches Jim and Toni Saret made the runners work up a sweat early in the morning with heart-pumping aerobics, which got them revved-up for the race.

Thousands of pairs had participated in the Robinsons Supermarket’s (RSC) 9th Fit and Fun Wellness Buddy Run held at Bonifacio Global City. There were at least 4,500 pairs who joined the 5km Run and 5,000 pairs in the much longer 10KM category. A whopping number which only showed that we Filipinos are very into being healthy and fit. Even celebrities and professional athletes didn’t miss the event. Triathlete and 28th SEA Games Gold Medalist Nikko Huelgas was there.

Yes, I agree with you mommy Lani. Families these days are now vigilant about healthy living. This event is such a blast. I always want to try this kind of running activity and hopefully one day I’ll be doing it with my family. Good job to Robinson’s Supermarket buddy run event and surely you all had fun. 🙂

My daughter and I joined this fun run and was given the 10km singlets even if we signed up for the 5km. But we did enjoyed the fun run and was able to finish the 10km category. 🙂

This is really one thing that I want our family to regularly practice – exercise! We used to jog during weekends, but for a long time now, sadly, we weren’t able to jog. Hopefully, we can do it again soon! 🙂 Health is wealth, so we really need to allot time for exercise! 🙂

One thing Im always looking forward to do with my family is a fitness activity. We used to do zumba together at home but when mom opened a business medyo wala na syang time. Hopefully we can do it again soon. Hoping din to be able to join family activities outside. This is great for Robinsons to manage such event.

I’m starting to exercise now and hopefully soon, we can join runs like this as a family! Health and wellness is on top of my priority list as I can really feel signs of aging!

I suddenly missed zumba after reading your post. But my husband and I do dance at home using the Just Dance game in PS4. I consider that our way of trying to stay fit and healthy aside from eating healthy food.

Super fun yung buddy run ng Robinsons. Para ka lang tumakbo to do grocery shopping pero more than the freebies na nakuha sa run. Ang dami din benefits of what Robinsons Supermarket is doing to promote wellness.

It’s really encouraging to hear organizations like Robinsons Supermarket spearheading campaigns aimed to make Filipinos healthy. Too bad, I can’t join these activities because of my eye problems.
