We only have several weeks more and the kids will be back to school. AND we will also be back to planning the daily baon and snacks. Despite all the choices we have, there are many times when we run out of ideas. Good thing, Mayora Philippines just launched CalCheese. It’s a new wafer snack, a little bit sweet and cheesy to taste, and available in sizes easy to pack in the kids’ lunch boxes. The wafers are very affordable too so I can just buy a couple of boxes and my girls can open some whenever they want to snack on them when they are at home.
What’s nice with CalCheese is that it can provide nutrition which is not present in the “chichiria” my kids sometimes prefer to eat from time to time. You know how kids are as they grow older. They want to keep their mouth busy all the time. The filling in CalCheese wafers has real cheddar cheese and milk making them good sources of calcium and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and B12 so at least, I know my kids are getting something good when they eat snacks.
My daughter and I were lucky to be able to attend CalCheese launch at City of Dreams. The event was a pre-celebration of Mother’s Day at the same time. Celebrity Mom Dimples Romana hosted the event and part of the program involved a short talk by CalCheese nutritionist, sandwich making and a short forum with some of the moms.
As a treat to the mothers and the kids, CalCheese sponsored tickets for DreamPlay. It was our first time in the theme park and so my daughter and her cousin were excited. DreamPlay is a dreamland for kids and the place is just perfect to let the kids do physical activities such as wall climbing, climbing tree houses, sliding, and crawling holes. They also tried making some digital animation in one of the booths and assembling mechanical bats and make them fly. We even saw Shrek, Princess Fiona and the kids dancing. See Shrek’s dance number here.
The kids had so much fun! We went home with some gifts from CalCheese and because it was a long ride back home, we all snacked CalCheese along the way.
CalCheese is available in supermarkets and sari-sari stores nationwide. Moms and their kids can also watch out for the nationwide CalCheese School Tour where Mayora Philippines will give out 1 million CalCheese samples to 500 schools. For more information visit mayora.com.
