I’ve got left-over apples from my New Year fruit basket so I thought of how I can serve them to my husband and the kids aside from being peeled fresh. I made a quick dessert since I also have remaining whipped cream inside the ref. If ever you will have so many apples in stock, feel free to click this recipe in my blog. I swear your house will be filled with the aroma of cinnamon and brown sugar you’ll instantly miss Christmas again, especially since I also used a little bit of nutmeg ( a popular Christmas spice) in this recipe.
Apples In Butter And Cinnamon
3 large apples, peeled, cored and sliced (fuji, red or green apples)
1/2 stick of butter
2 heaping tablespoons of brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Melt the butter in a non-stick pan. Mix the apples, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg and then fry altogether for 10-15 minutes.
Serve warm. Top it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
