It’s the start of summer vacation although my kids school activities aren’t over. As it is the Holy Week, we went to the church for our devotional stations of the cross, and then went home. We don’t have anything sweet to eat for dessert or something for snacks so I decided to bake some brownies. I have a big pack of Milo from Robinsons Supermarket Summer Fair and my youngest love to eat Milo as it is. Pinapapak nila ang Milo instead of drinking it. So I thought, they’d love some Milo brownies. The brownies turned out super rich and addicting. So here’s the recipe for those of you who want to try it at home.
Ingredients:
3/4 block of butter (softened)
3 medium eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 cup cocoa powder ( I use Hershey’s unsweetened)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3/4 cup Milo
For the frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp cocoa powder
1 tsp softened butter
more Milo to sprinkle on top of brownies
Instructions:
Mix butter, cocoa and powdered sugar and cook in low heat using a deep saucepan.
When everything’s melted, remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract, eggs, flour and Milo.
Pour in a baking pan lined with baking paper and bake for 160C for 20-25 minutes.
Let the brownie cool completely,
For the frosting, mix all the ingredients and melt in very low heat for a couple of seconds. Let it cool before topping the brownies.
Sprinkle more Milo on top of brownies as desired
Enjoy your brownies!
