Have you or any of your families experienced having worms? Yuck, you may say that it is and it is understable naman. Worms or “bulate” are yucky and harmful to anyone who has them inside. They are parasites and they can make our children sick. These worms can stunt our children’s growth, affect their mental performance and they can cause malnutrition. As moms, we would never want our children to have any of these worms.
But like any other kind of health conditions, it will be tough to fight one when we are not equipped with the right information. For one, Filipinos believe that only children who live in dirty places and with poor hygiene are prone to worms.
In reality, worms are everywhere. They are organisms that are too tiny to be seen by the naked eye and they can be picked up along the way. This means that no matter how clean our homes are nor how clean our bodies are, it is still possible to be infected with worms because they are easily passed on. Yes, napapasa ang worms.
Even when the kids are always at home, you still can’t say they are protected. Totoo yung sinasabi ni Lola na “hindi dapat magpapaa ang mga bata kasi bubulatihin”. BUT hindi lang yon ang pwedeng maging reason. The simple act of not washing hands after going to the loo can also be one. And the adults who work outside the home can also pickup worms, along the way. Once at home, sharing food with the whole family, touching the same kutsara at tinidor with a person with worm infection, can still be a way to spread worm infection.
Even adults shouldn’t underestimate worms and think that we are invicible from worms. We can still suffer from health complications when we get infected. But even so, worms can be eliminated by deworming and there’s nothing to fear or be ashamed about it. Deworming can be done by taking in deworming treatments such as Antiox.
What’s best with (Mebendazole) Antiox is that it is a brand that can be used by every member of the family, may they be young and old. It is available as a chewable or as a one-dose chocolate flavored suspension.
As moms, we can only be fully confident of our family’s health if we know that we have made all the necessary steps we know. Sometimes though, because deworming is not a popular topic or something that has been related to dirty things or places, we either forget about it or just shy away from talking about it. Don’t be.
Let’s be our children’s best role models when it comes to deworming. Show them that we are serious in the fight against worms. Send the word to other moms that Antiox is the deworming brand to use for the kids. Instead of passing worms, pass the message about Antiox. Because a worm-free family makes a worm-free community.
*Mebendazole Antiox is contraindicated in children below 1 year old. Read the special warning and special precautions for use included in the packaging before using.
I think I will try it first with my son, Ruben, the chewable is a good start. 🙂
Yes I was surprised that hindi lang pala bata ang binubulati at nakakahawa pala ito.
Summer is usually the time people deworm, hehe. This is sold over the counter naman ano? My kids need deworming again the soonest.
We haven’t tried taking this kind of medicine. Are there symptoms or signs that we need to watch out para alam namin kung need na?
Hi Michi, as for our kids, appetite loss is one symptom I usually check, then I go to the pedia to confirm to rule out other diseases 🙂
That’s true! worms can be anywhere. We were also advised by our doctor that even adults have worms and it’s recommended that adults and children deworm once a year. Thanks for the recommendation!
I want to try this too..i’ll ask our pedia about this
I think this is a great idea thanks for sharing. I’ll Ask our pediatrician about this product thanks
Wow! Thanks for sharing this. 😘
Thanks for sharing this. Haven’t tried this. Will definitely check this out.
This reminds me, it’s almost time for my son’s and my niece’s annual deworming. We usually wait for the barangay health workers to visit our place and provide meds for deworming. Antiox din ang pinamimigay nila. 🙂
Awww I thought only kids can pickup worms. I travel everyday because I go to work and unaware that I might be a worm carrier. Try ko muna sakin to bago sa kids. Thanks for sharing, Mommy Lani.
Oh, so far kumakain namin so I guess worm-free pa kami. 🙂
thanks for sharing this mom, it reminded me that need to deworm my little man, siguro yung chewable ang magugustuhan nya
Thanks for this! I’d like to try!
Paranmg kailngan ko ata nito… 😛 kidding aside di joke joke lang ang worms lalo na sa ating mga kids, I’ma try this one nga sa mga abgets ko lalo na yung chewables.
It pays to be extra careful when it comes to our families health. Thanks for sharing this mommy. Will check Mebendazole Antiox.
I’m intrigued with the chewables because I’m quiet familiar with the syrup. I remember deworming when I was a kid and I think my kids need this too. It’s been a while since we did it on my eldest.
Wala pa naman nakaka-worm sa family but I’ll keep Antiox in mind should the need arise.
Lahat ata ng bata before dumaan dito. Hehe. I’ll ask my kids’ pedia if they could use this to de-worm.
Never knew there was a product like this in the market. Thanks for sharing this! 🙂
Antiox is really recommendable when it comes to erradicating worms in our children’s body. Subok na yan.
super importante talaga yung healthy yung tyan nila from bulate. Para kapag lumaki malakas ang guts.
My nurse cousin deworms annually and she says it’s really a healthy practice. Will definitely consider doing it for my family.
