It’s summer vacation and I have plenty of time with my girls to share with them my wisdom as a mom. Though most of the time, these “sharing” time end up being a time of “sermon” and we feel frustrated with each other, I always think that these bonding moments are essential for my kids. These are the most challenging days when we, as parents, can’t give up on them, especially on topics about self-confidence.
Our daughters are growing up, beautiful and intelligent, and these make it both exciting and scary. For them to be able to cope in the real world, one of the first things that they need to be equipped with is good self-esteem.
I noticed that our teens admire Koreans a lot because of their skin and facial features and since they are both genetically far from looking Koreans, they just tend to work on it by wearing clothes that are typical of these race. But you know, I let them be. Though I admit that there are times that I can’t help cringing when they prefer boyish shirts and caps and jeans while I prefer dainty blouses and dresses, I realized that these clothing preferences are part of their youth and can be temporary.

I introduced SkinWhite Teens skin lotion not because of its whitening ingredients but because it’s mild and formulated for the teens. I personally use the Skin Whitening Lotion and the Deodorants because of their lovely scents and non-greasy texture and moisturizing properties on my skin.
But what made me proud as a SkinWhite user is their recent campaign against “skin-shaming”. One would wonder why a skin whitening brand such as SkinWhite would dare to say that dark skin is beautiful. And I found out that it is because the brand chooses to empower the women by making them feel beautiful no matter what they choose, if they want to become whiter or if they choose to love themselves as dark-skinned.
This inclusivity is refreshing and

“White and dark are both beautiful,” confirms Rachel Villanueva, Creative Director of Petch & Partners, the creative agency that created this campaign for SkinWhite. She continues, “It’s about time that dark skin and white skin get the same adoration and acknowledgment.”
So if you want to look fair and whiter than your current skin color, go! If you are satisfied with your morena skin, then by all means, flaunt it, or better yet, improve it, moisturize it with skin moisturizing products like Skin White.
It is important to be comfortable with who you are. We need to love ourselves. It is the only way to happiness.
I love skin white products for my beautiful skin and I believe that complexion is not define of beauty. Beauty comes to inside 🙂
Such a great post that promote encouragement to others to be confident on whatever they have is the best.
This article made my day. Such a beautiful message that color don’t determine beauty . Dark is beautiful too.
Everybody should accept their self as they are, every skin tone is beautiful no matter what tone everyone is beautiful.
I will be honest this is a very triggering campaign. This is not good to want to whiten your skin, why not have a brand that just enhances your natural skin color not brighten it? Sorry I see how they are trying to uplift but it is definitely not a good message for teens..and the chemicals to make the skin white oh no. I hope your daughters truly love their skin…its fun to dress like fun cultures but not alter your skin tone.
