I couldn’t agree more. Teaching kids to cook early

Whenever I have time to teach them in the kitchen, I try to teach them the basics such as paring ingredients or frying and sometimes, baking. At the Kids Kitchen Camp, the kids were taught how to prepare 5 kid-friendly recipes using San Miguel Purefoods products. I was glad that my youngest get to learn these recipes as I haven’t taught her all these yet (ingredients and procedures below).
It was a fun day of cooking as the kids were able to socialize together while the chefs from San

It was such a fruitful day for all of us. The kids learned so much, our tummies fully satisfied, and we all get to go home a bag full of products from San Miguel Pure Foods products. I hope SMPF will continue this activity every year, to encourage more young kids and parents to get into cooking as they bond together, and get to meet new friends too!
I definitely agree on teaching your kids how to cook early. It’s also a way to teach them responsibility. Looks like these kids really enjoyed their experience.
I try to have my kids help me cook but they are more interested when it’s baking a cake of course lol
Definitely agree that kids should learn how to cook early – it’s how you keep yourself alive. And they won’t have to rely on someone else doing it for them
At the school I teach at, we cook each month. Sometimes we make sweets (like tomorrow because it is Valentine’s) but also meals (like curry) to promote healthy eating.
I think it’s great for kids to learn how to cook. They’ll be able to have an appreciation for cooking as well as be able to maneuver around the kitchen with ease.
I agree with you, I am actually almost 30 and still don’t know how to cook. I was never thought in the kitchen and when I lived with my boyfriend like, it was hard for me to survive. hahaha.
This is so true and so important. I learn to cook from such a young age and I am so pleased I did!
I agree that kids should learn cooking early. It instills them a love for food and also to be independent and creative. Loved your post.
True, Can’t agree more.
Everyone should know the basic ones just to run the daily lives without any issues.
I couldn’t agree more. I love cooking so much and thanks to my parents that they teach me to cook eggs and hotdogs so early. 😊
