It’s Lamoiyan Corporation’s Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4 and I’m glad to be a part of this campaign because I know the good impact it does to the community. Having kuto or lice is not an easy deal and I know it because I’ve dealt it with my daughters as they got infested many times from school.

Dermatologist Dr. Ria Valdez led the talk about the proper prevention for head lice infestation and debunked several misconceptions surrounding it.

Having lice can be inevitable most specially with kids because they interact a lot, share things together no matter how we advise them not to do that. However, we just can’t let the kids have lice because first, it’s so itchy that it can be distracting from studies, it can irritate the scalp, and it is unsightly.

But as Kilusang Kontra Kuto likes to impart to the public that having lice is not something to be ashamed of. Dermatologists can attest that rich or poor can have lice and even people from foreign countries have hair lice problems. And through an effective head lice shampoo like Lice Aliz, kuto can be treatable.

Licealiz team helped a student from Silangan Elementary School in using fine-tooth comb to detach dead lice and nits on her hair minutes after the shampooing.

For Lamoiyan Corporation’s KKK Year 4, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), Lamoiyan Corporation is visiting 30 schools nationwide and targets to shampoo around 6,000 head lice infested students. Sample sachet products will also be distributed within the surrounding communities through this activity.

Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4 has visited different schools across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao where Licealiz held educational talks, fun games, and free shampooing activity.

Licealiz also prepared Si Kathy at ang Kutostrophe coloring books for the kids to enjoy during the shampooing activity.

Now on its fourth year, Lamoiyan has partnered again with industry leaders such as DepEd, Drugstores Association of the Philippines (DSAP) and Mommy Bloggers Philippines to further spread the correct information about pediculosis and widely reach grass roots level.

Members of Mommy Bloggers Philippines NCR joined the Kilusang Kontra Kuto Year 4 in Silangan Elementary School together with Lamoiyan Corporation Marketing Director Ruby Rose Cavestany, Licealiz Assistant Brand Manager Cristina Martinez, and Dr. Ria Valdez.

Oh, no! Lice sounds horrible. And it seems to go through schools so quickly– once one kid gets it, they all get it. I love that you are part of this campaign and are helping people deal with it so effectively.

You are doing such noble jobs, I really appreciate. I knew one of my colleagues had lice problem and she used to struggle with treatments. She was ashamed too but it was not her fault. But thankfully she was able to get rid of it.

Every parent’s nightmare is to find lice on their child’s hair. I am glad that there are programs like that to raise awareness and to help parents help their children get rid of lice.
