Aji Savor On Rice – Calcium-Rich Rice Topping Mix

Posted on Nov 16 2019 - 8:10pm by tweenselmom

My husband and kids are avid fans of fried rice so when I got invited to Ajinomoto’s launch of its newest product Aji Savor on Rice, I RSVP’d without skipping a heartbeat. I haven’t seen this product yet but I knew that it will be a rice topping mix. Since it’s Ajinomoto product, I know it will be good, just like the other Ajinomoto seasonings and powders that I use on my dishes.

Aji Savor on Rice is inspired by Japanese Furikake and it contains a blend of ready-to-eat dried umami food ingredients like malunggay leaves, toasted sesame seeds and meaty beef or chicken flavored granules. One pack is enough to be sprinkled and mixed to one cup of rice. It is highly recommended for kids because it is high in calcium (contains 385 mg of calcium which is comparable to 1 glass of milk.) Di ba nakakatuwa?

Ajinomoto held an exciting event to introduce Aji Savor on Rice and that was a JPOP and Kyaraben or Character Bento Making Party inside Kidzania Manila. The cutest celebrity endorsers Chunsa Jung, Sophia Reola and Marco Masa were there and they performed the Aji Savor on Rice song and dance number. These kids are really talented and napapa-LSS (last song syndrome) ako because of their performance. A! – Savor on Rice — Aji Savor on Rice! Present also on the short program inside Kidzania Theatre was Kuya “Omurice” Sawa, a Japanese who went viral for selling omurice or fried rice omelette to help street children. Kuya San talked about the popularity of Furikake which is the inspiration of Aji Savor on Rice.

At the Kyaraben party, we were taught to make simple Bento characters using Aji Savor on rice, omelette, veggies, and fruits. The kids and the moms surely had fun in this activity. I myself haven’t been making bento for a long time and so the activity reignited my interest in making bento baon for my daughters. They use to love my bento lunch kits that they bring to school and now they will love their baon more when they taste AJI SAVOR on their rice. I’ve tasted AJI Savor on Rice and the rice really becomes more exciting and delicious to eat! Rice is flavorful (kahit wala na ngang ulam) and there are those crunchy bits that I know my kids will love very much.
