Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats With Pure Wild Honey

Posted on Mar 5 2020 - 3:29am by tweenselmom

I’ve finally jumped into the healthy eating overnight oats bandwagon by trying this recipe from Quaker Oats. I picked this because I’m a fan of cinnamon and apple pies so this recipe really combined my favorites.

I was once puzzled how overnight oats work since I usually “cook” or heat quick-cooking oats and in this recipe, you just have to chill the oats overnight. But yes, letting the milk and honey and maybe fruit drippings soak the oats, making them soft and creamy in the morning, just ready to eat.

Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats With Pure Wild Honey

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Quaker® Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or apple cider)
  • 1/2 cup diced apple
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • I added some chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon granola (for topping) or in my case, I used some chopped walnuts

Put each ingredient on top of each other in a clear jar except for the granola or walnut because these will add crunch to the soaked oats and fruits when it’s time for you to eat it. And that’s it! You have a classy and healthy breakfast, refreshing too because it’s chilled.

MACE Pure Wild Honey – Dark

For the honey, I used this super thick MACE Pure Wild Honey from Bontoc Mountain Province. It’s 100% organic, and it’s sooo pure, has pristine smell and taste, and no sugary substance whatsoever.

MACE Pure Wild Honey has different variants and the one I got is the Dark variety. It’s sweet and has a faint bitter note and it works on glazed chicken and coffee.

They also have the light honey and Benguet variants that work best for cooking, baking, for teas and lemonade.

Honey in all variants are 300.00 per 700ml and 2100.00 per gallon. T contact Mace Pure Wild Honey, you can send a message in https://www.facebook.com/Macepurewildhoney/
