Back To School Bento 2020

Posted on Jul 10 2020 - 11:49am by tweenselmom

My two girls are going back to school soon, not physically, but via blended-learning system ( a mix of online and hopefully very minimal actual schooling – if ever it will be possible anytime soon).

As their opening day comes closer, I’m already reminding them to start preparing, such as trying to adjust their sleeping patterns little by little, preparing a list of what they will need, and trying to adapt in an online mode kind of learning

I tell them that this is not going to be easy, as it seems to be because they are at home. Their schooling hours will most probably the same and the temptation to slack off is obviously there. We all have to adjust so that they will still get the full benefit of studying even if they are at home.

My bento for the day is for my 2 girls. You can easily remove the eyelashes if you want to make these for boys. For this bento lunchbox, the meal consists of garlic fried rice, fried cream dory with flour breading, 2 sauce holders where I put the ketchup, and some grapes for dessert.

I’ve recently started joining the bento craze and I realize that I’m getting more and more interested on it. I’m not a very patient person but whenever I make bento boxes, I can work on it for 2 hours straight. And the results are appreciated by my kids ( that’s what’s important).

For my bento tools today, I only used this glass lunchbox, 2 tin cans I use for baking and 2 cute sauce holders

I’ve seen so many bento makers online and they are good and I’d love to think that someday, even when I get older, my grandkids will be having fun seeing my bento boxes. By that time, I may be an expert on this and it will be wonderful.

What about you? What are your preparation for coming back to school months? Do you have an interest in making bento or you just prefer to look at them?

I’ve always homeschooled, but I’d love the opportunity to send my kids to school part time.
