Eagerly fried some unMeat Hungarian sausages for my husband this morning as I’ve seen how promising these plant-based meat are in the online media launch I attended recently. And my verdict?
4.5 ⭐️ The smell while I fry the sausages (swipe left) really yummy!
The taste, absolutely tasty, somewhat peppery. You can taste the spices and no need to add catsup or dips or sidings for these sausages because they are totally delicious on their own.
The look is unlike the Hungarian sausages I usually cook and the texture as well. The meat texture is close to sausage meat just that it’s not that tender just like real sausage meat. The skin gets a little bit drier but the wrinkles are the same. I am not sure if it was because of how I cooked these sausages and if the fire is just too high. I set the fire in medium heat though.
But in the end, for me, aesthetics really don’t matter that much when you’ve tasted them. And what’s more important also is that these sausages are healthier to eat than real sausages.
I’ll try unMeat sausages again in buns, cheese and tomatoes next time 😋. Excited to try the other unMeat variants. @unmeat.ph

This is Shirley look like real meat I would love to try those.
Sausages without meat sound like a healthy alternative. I would love to try them in buns to get a good idea of the flavor.
