It was so timing for Earth Day which is being celebrated this year on April 20-22 that I finally got the chance to unpack these gifts from Ajinomoto – lovely sustainable alternative kitchen essentials. Each of these – bamboo glass jars, woven hand towels, and reusable produce bags were sourced from local enterprises.
The bamboo glass jars from Eco Shop PH and the shop offer a selection of home and personal items to encourage everyone to have a low-impact lifestyle (low-impact means less damage to our environment). The custom engraving is made by the crafters of BalaiKamay in Marikina.
The hand towels are from WVN Home Textiles which is owned by a woman who advocates Filipino traditional weaves. The women weavers are from Bangar, La Union.
The reusable produce bags are from HABI Lifestyle and it’s an enterprise that uses upcycled materials and give livelihood opportunities to communities including the women in Payatas.
Thanks again to Ajinomoto and @cookmunitybyajinomotoph for supporting local entrepreneurs.♥️ Don’t forget to check the delicious recipes in iloveajinomoto.ph and share your recipe there as well! Ajinomoto often posts promos that may give you a chance to win lovely gifts such as this one.
