My new kitchen must have! Ajinomoto Sarsaya® Liquid Seasoning, an affordable, easy to use, and tasty cooking liquid gold:-) Cooked chicken with black beans yesterday and it was so malinamnam. My kids don’t eat black beans and yet, they loved this dish. My dish is a winner though I’ve cooked this one for the first time.
Ajinomoto Sarsaya comes in 250ml PET bottle and 25 ml sachets. The sachet costs P8 lang. You can use it for cooking or dipping. And there are more delicious recipes that you can find in the Ajinomoto website which I always check when I prepare my menu for the week.
Ajinomoto had just introduced their new celebrity endorser – Gladys Reyes. As a celebrity, entrepreneur, and mother of four children, Gladys is no stranger when it comes to cooking. Can definitely relate to her as a busy mom and yet loves to cook. Gladys uses Ajinomoto Sarsaya to create a delicious and savory taste when cooking, especially with bangus steak and pancit bihon, two of my favorite dishes as well. Just one sachet is enough to make mealtimes more special. You can check the recipes of these dishes here.
But for the quick recipe for my Chicken With Black Bean Sauce, here it is:

3 teaspoons cornstarch
canola oil for frying
2 teaspoons Ajinomoto Sarsaya
1 medium sized ginger sliced
garlic and onion for sauteeing
3-4 tablespoon fermented black beans
1 large bellpepper red
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 cup water
How to cook:
Marinate chicken with the mixture of Ajinomoto Sarsaya, water and cornstarch for 10-15 minutes.
Deep fry chicken and set aside.
Add garlic and onion to your frying pan, cook a little bit and then add the fried chicken.
Add 1/2 cup water, sugar, and fermented black bean sauce.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add the bellpepper and allow the dish to cook and serve hot.
Let me know if you have tried this dish. Looking forward to more tasteful and healthy cooking with Ajinomoto!
