I just feel great that as of this writing, it seems that things are getting better and better pandemic-wise as I hear from the news of how fewer people are getting sick everyday. A bit of a downside though is that as people get more confident in going out, the more traffic there is wherever we go. And if you are in the Philippines, you’ll definitely know how inconvenient it is and how inevitable it is for anyone to wait in line for a long time.
When I was younger, I used to cry when I wait for someone for a long time or when I get frustrated due to boredom. When I became a mom, I overcame all these, not only because I needed to, but because I also found my best allies – the boredom-and-stress-busting games on my mobile phones.
Who doesn’t play games these days with their mobile phone while waiting? Unlike most teens or maybe other adults who prefer complicated RPGs o strategy games, I like the more classic-easy-to-figure out games. It’s because when I am out of the house, I always want to be aware of what’s happening around me. Classic games like solitaire, online mahjong or maybe crossword puzzles are just the perfect kind of games that allow me exercise my brains a little bit without the need to be too engrossed on the games.
Solitaire is the first ever card game that I’ve learned to play. I’ve seen how my grandma played it everyday after she did all her chores at home and maybe that’s why it stuck with me that this game can really help me relax. If ever you haven’t played a solitaire game before, which has so many different versions, it’s basically a card stacking game based on a set of rules, which are pretty easy to follow.
I love this kind of game because I’m amazed how the creators hide objects in photos. For me, playing this game is a good mental practice in focusing and being aware of my surroundings.
If you love cooking and mahjong, this is the perfect game for you. I love combining ingredient and matching them together to create a dish that is being asked for. It’s a colorful game that kind of give me an idea what to cook next whenever I play it.
This game is a PacMan inspired game with cookies as the goal to munch instead of pellets. I enjoy the challenge of running away from the ghosts and eating them when I’m powered up. I always remember how my kids and I enjoy this game so much when they were little.
I like to play Word Search because like in Find The Hidden Objects game, I crave for the challenge of searching and then feel amazed when I find them hidden deeply within those jumbled words. I also get to learn new vocabulary words along the way.
I get to play all these games easily via solitaire.org. You’ll like this website as much as I do because it has tons of games on it that are free-to-play and ads-free. It also saves the game in your mobile browser so it’s ok to stop whenever you need to. Instead of downloading apps and saving them on my phone, I can just go to the website and play again or try a new kind of game. Oh, and you can play the games on your desktop too. Sometimes I do when I got the time and I enjoy it a lot when my kids join me as soon as I they see me enjoying the games.
What about you, are you a solitaire fan as well? Let me know when you try solitaire.org and which game in there you love the most. Maybe I can try it too!
