Director’s Club SM Megamall

We rarely watch movies now in the cinema, unlike before. Kasi naman, cinema prizes are so steep, sakit na sa bulsa (P370 for regular cinemas, P520 for Directors’s Club, plus may fee pa if you book online). We already have netflix, disney and hbo at home where they show even the most recent movies. Like yung latest Wakanda ng Marvel, after a few months, it was on Disney cable na. But syempre, watching movies at the cinema is different parin compared to watching them at home. The seats are different, screen is bigger, and you really watch the movie from start to end. Unlike at home na ang daming distractions, and we usually can’t finish a movie in one sitting because everyone wants to return to what they have been doing.

And because mahal na nga manood, we reserve it for movies that we all like, usually Marvel and Disney films. Like Shazam Part 2. We watched it at SM Megamall Director’s Club and it was our first time there, para maiba naman. We usually watch in SM Fairview Director’s Club and I thought it was the best already. Mas maganda pala sa Megamall ang Director’s Club nila. The seats are all in floor level unlike sa SM Fairview na pataas ang arrangement ng seats. And since we usually get the farthest seats, pababa ang view namin sa movie. Sa Megamall, eye-level lang and it’s much easier and more comfortable for my eyes. PLUS (yes, a big plus) it has comfort room within the cinema, that is clean and so easy to walk to. When in the cinema, I can’t help myself going to the comfort room at least twice, so I often miss nice parts of the movie when I had to go. I also don’t have to pass by sa stairs that can be dangerous when you slip or ma-sprain ang feet. To be short, I’m getting old hahaha.

the girls sit in front of us, free bottled water and popcorn, I’ve ordered fries and chicken nuggets and Coke soda before the beginning of the show, you can only bring food from the SM Cinema food stand in here
CR just at the back, so accessible!

Well, syempre, distance-wise, mas malapit parin ang SM Fairview Director’s Club. SM Megamall is too far and ang hirap na mag-drive sa EDSA. Nahuli pa ng swerving si hubby because he was following Waze that time and napa-swerve sya. But if we’ll have a choice, at pwede namang magbyahe, we’ll go to Megamall.

Shazam Part 2 mini review

Rating – 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I find the movie medyo not that of the same level sa mga Avengers or Justice League level. The movie leans on the type that is for younger kids, those ages who are amazed sa mga monsters, unicorn and stuff. Hubby says it’s weird that Shazam the hero acts like that he is much younger and more immatured than Billy (the normal, powerless version of Shazam). Maybe we prefer the version of The Rock of Black Adams (who is another version of Shazam). But it’s a good movie, with clear pictures and sometimes, funny parts like Shazam messing up with his words (when he said Saruman instead of Solomon, he called Lucy Liu as Kaleezi when she was riding the dragon. But still, a good movie for kids, but maybe wait for it nalang sa HBO?:-)

I hope you find this blog a little bit helpful with anything. If you did, I’d love to hear from you in the comments below. Thanks!
