Are you ready for your New Year’s resolutions or are you, like others, say that you are already weary of it?
As for me, if I may share it, I don’t have one either, not because I don’t believe in resolutions but because I’d like to call it more as my list of challenges come Year 2020.
Year 2020 is a big deal for me because first, it’s the start of a new decade. With God’s help, this decade will mean years of milestones for us, as a family and hopefully for my personal growth. Before this decade will be over, there will be huge differences with my kids turning from teens to young adults, when they are about to finish high school, go to college and then get their first jobs, and these transitions will matter to us as parents. Imagine all these huge events, right?
Personally, I hope and pray to be a much better person, to myself, to my husband, and to the people around me, so I plan to study more, work more, and discover more about this life and then make positive differences to other people.
To cut it short, here’s my 2020 list of challenges that may also inspire you to make your own and I really hope that you’ll also share it with me and the others. These are my personal challenges that some may think are too menial or simple. That’s because I’m simple and I believe that from these simple things arise more complicated and bigger things that I can achieve because I choose to start small and strive to finish them big. As they say, don’t bite more than you can chew, right?
Seeing this list makes me excited about the year to come and how I will enjoy completing them. These, plus so many plans on the side in my work, in my blog and the blogging community I manage, make me feel hyped and I can’t wait to welcome this incoming year and start.
- 12 books to read
- 12 recipes to discover and share
- 12 different kinds of cupcakes to bake
- 12 new kinds of food to try
- 12 months to reach savings goal for the year
- 12 new movies to watch
- 12 new museums to visit
- 12 works of charity
What about you? I hope you are having a blast thinking of your own list but before anything else, before you leave this blog to write your list, I want to greet you a Merry and Happy New Year to you and your family!
I hope you’re able to accomplish everything you set your mind to! Thanks so much for sharing this with all of us!
Wow, such a nice list. I did for mine too. I would love to blog a lot and am thinking of reviving my interest in music.
I’m not making lists this year, but am cheering those who do. I’m still working on the same goal; third year running. Third year is the charm, right? 🙂 Happy New Year!
These are great goals! I especially love the 12 works of charity – I’m adding that to my list as well! My kids and I volunteer at a local animal shelter every few weeks, but I feel we could do more.
What a great way to list the things you would like from the new year! This is such a great food for thought! I feel like most times I am just struggling through it, maybe if I listed with numbers like you have done I would get a lot more done!
I might go with you on the savings one. It has been a while for me so lets target that! Happy new year! Woohooo!
I love numbers 3 and 8,sounds new to me. And worth to be set as a goal.
What a great list! Visiting more places is on the top of my list this year. Wishing you healthy and a happy year🎉
That’s a great bucket list – There is enough to be discovered still as long as we are granted the time 🙂
What great goals you have for 2020! I have a lot but honestly, I have not listed them all down yet. Happy New Year! 🙂
I really love this idea of 12 things!!
Great reflective posts. I have similar goals as well especially in reading more and making more of a difference in ppl’s lives.
This is a great list. I love the idea of 12 different cup cakes to bake. I might do it as well 🙂
This decade is a big one for us since our young children will become teenagers and adults. I am a little sad that they are growing up so fast, but I’m excited to see what’s in store for the future!
Great goals! My goal is to also read 12 books by the end of this year!
Good list to start a new year. And very noble wishes. Well mine goes like blogging, going to places, stay healthy and happy.
Those are great goals for 2020! I plan to volunteer more too!
Thanks for always inspiring us to be better!
Oh this sounds like fun, I may need to do this as well! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!
This is such a refreshing look at approaching the new year. I love this approach.
12 books to read is sure on my list!
What an amazing list! Great NYE revolutions. I like the one about 12 works of charity and 12 visits to museums.
Happy 2020!
Seems like you had a pretty good 2020 start.
Charity is really appreciated, as we can do it a bit little from our part.
Thanks for sharing.
Excited about the new museums to visit. One of my favorite things to do as a family is to check out local attractions.
Now that is an interesting list. Loved the ’12 things’ idea. Should try for myself too.
Great things to do to make this year even more memorable! Good luck and best of experiences!
I’m not normally one for making actual resolutions but these are really great
This is a great list of challenges! I like the idea of 12 of everything since you figure if you do one a month, it makes it so much more manageable.
