LBC Cash on Pickup (COP) And Cash on Delivery (COD) Give More Power To Online Businesses

Posted on Jul 5 2018 - 8:56pm by tweenselmom

I have my own fair share of online selling as I started my career as a work at home mom through selling on E-bay. I can say that those were exciting days and though I earn small, I felt empowered given that I can augment my husband’s income by selling used stuff or products that I made myself. These days, through the onset of efficient mobile apps and affordable delivery services, establishing an online business can be a walk in the park.

LBC, the Philippines’ leading logistics company, recently added two services which made e-commerce even more easier and less intimidating. At the formal launch held at New World Makati among the company of online partners, media, bloggers and LBC officials, LBC introduced the Cash on Pickup (COP) and Cash on Delivery (COD which for me, will certainly add flexibility both for online sellers and buyers. COP and COD utilizes two of  LBC’s core services: as a courier of parcels & boxes, and as a  payment collection channel.

Benefits of LBC Cash on Pickup (COP) And Cash on Delivery (COD

As a trading place of the buyer and the seller, LBC’s COP guarantees convenient and seamless transactions between seller and buyer.  With this, buyer can now add LBC as a pick up point, instead of the traditional delivery scheme -like delivered at home, office, or meet ups. The online transactions are also guaranteed safe and reliable  as sellers are assured that he or she will get paid, while the buyer will get the products in mint condition. For me, this is also a great opportunity even for those who doesn’t want to do business at home or has no staff who can accept deliveries.

LBC’s wide network and serviceable areas allows for buyers to shop from anywhere in the Philippines and reach more customers nationwide. Reaching the farthest part of the country possible is a major goal for any online business. LBC extends an entrepreneurs arms, no matter how small the business can be, through LBCs coverage.

LBC’s rates has promises to be more competitive as it hopes to provide value for money for every buyer and seller.

For LBC’s COD, the buyer simply pays the item ordered online upon delivery. And LBC takes care of remitting the payment to the seller. This feature conveniently removes the hassle of transacting in banks that are most often busy throughout the day. Imagine the time one can save if we can transact everything in one place, from delivery to accepting payment.

The best thing about Retail COP and COD is that sellers only need to go to any LBC branch. They don’t even need to register their business to start availing of the services right away. For startups and those who prefer to start online business without setting up a bank account initially, LBC is the best way to avoid intimidation. I know many small entrepreneurs who will wish to use this service practically because they just don’t want to go through the hassles of filling up many forms. They can just do business right away as soon as they find a buyer online.

Oliver Valentin, LBC Express PH Retail Operations Senior Vice President says: “This service targets both small online sellers like stay-at-home moms, students and starting entrepreneurs. On the side of online buyers,  LBC aims to enable customers enjoy and maximize their shopping experience, with just a few taps on their mobile phones or computers. The entry of COP and COD is a testament to how LBC is willing and able to answer the new demands of the digital age- as well as the ever evolving needs of the market. With these new services,  we are committed to provide the Filipino market with the same brand of reliability and convenience that LBC has long been known for”.

Hi! You have to visit your nearest LBC branch to register, as far as from my experience, they will issue an LBC user’s card.

Hi Maam. What if hindi inaccept nung reciever ung item?Paano po kaya process nun?

    • tweenselmom August 22, 2018 at 9:33 pm - Reply

Hi po, if I remember it correctly, from the press launch, LBC will return the items to you, and should have no fee on your side. Kaya if you are a seller siguro, you have to make sure that your recipient is mabuti kausap.

Hi po. For cop. What if the shipper sent the wrong item, can the receiver asks for refund on the lbc branch if the shipper is not coordinating with the sender? If yes, when can the sender gets his money back?

Sorry po. Mali po yung last question ko on my previous post. It should be.. If yes, when can the receiver gets his money back if he wants to have a refund instead of the reshipment for the correct item.

Hello po ask lang nag COD po ako kanina and it was my first time po. Bale ang usapan po namin ni buyer siya po sasagot ng SF pero nung nasa LBC po ako siningil padin po ako same price ng SF. Ano po yun babalik po ba sakin or hindi na? Kasi parang ganun din po ata? Nagbayad ako 165 at the same time mag babayas din po yung buyer ng 165 for SF. Mejo nalilito lang po

Hi Steph, as far as I know yung COD (cash on delivery) yung cash na ibibigay ni buyer will be the payment for the item she purchased, not the shipping fee. You will be shouldering the shipping fee since you are the shipper essentially. If your agreement with your buyer is that she will shoulder shipping, hindi na kasama si LBC dun, but since you have to pay LBC pag nagprocess ka, pwede nalang idagdag ni buyer yung amount when she pays on COD. But I do suggest to clarify this pa rin with LBC.
