Most of my recipes in this blog use eggs because who doesn’t love eggs (unless you are allergic) – it’s easy to cook, versatile, and one of the cheapest and convenient protein sources. And when the pandemic hit us all, I’m sure you’ve stocked at least a dozen eggs in your pantry. Here I share with you a fritata recipe that I recently made. My youngest daughter is so fond of eating green peas, my husbands love chili leaves, my eldest daughter loves cheese, and me, I love tomatoes and eggs! Combine them altogether,...
I was so glad to be invited to witness the finals ceremony of Century Tuna Superbod 2020, not at the Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City where the event was held, but at home. Century Tuna and their PR team are surely worth to be congratulated with the event’s success despite the pandemic. “We needed to rise up to the challenge. We knew it was going to be tough but we stayed focused and if we’re able to pull this off successfully then at least we are able to provide a template for the industry to learn from and use. We...
I was in the grocery yesterday and craved for some Snickers Oats and I thought why not make my own. I have all the ingredients I need in my pantry so I went home and make a big jar full of Snickers Oats copycats without having the need to bake. You can make yours too! Ingredients: 1/2 bar salted butter1/4 cup brown sugar1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract1 1/2 cups rolled oats1/4 tsp ground cinnamona pinch of salt1/2 cup chocolate chips1/2 cup peanut butter1/4 cup preferred nuts ( I used toasted cashew nuts in this recipe) How...
As many parents can attest to, raising kids is incredibly rewarding—and also incredibly overwhelming at times. When you think about all the skills kids need to learn, it’s hard to know which ones to focus on. While we can’t give parents the answer to that question, we can help them take a look at ways to help their kids improve their social skills. Make Sure Kids Spend Time Around Other People Perhaps the easiest way to improve social skills in children is to make sure they spend time with other children. After...
I just found out that a very good alternative to ground beef when serving tacos is corned beef. But the secret to delicious corned beef tacos will be, of course, the main course, the corned beef. Have you tried Highlands Gold made with 100% Pure Beef – not the ordinary kind of beef, but Angus Beef! In this recipe, I used Highlands Gold and I’ve got to tell you that this will surely be a hit to any kind of party that you will bring your tacos to ( I can think of a swimming party, a movie watch party, or maybe as a school...
Cooking has always been my passion ever since I became a full-time work-at-home mom. I have always enjoyed preparing the menu in advance and then cooking them daily. But this pandemic imposed many challenges for me in the kitchen. I have limited ingredients in my pantry, both quantity and variety wise. I have to cut on my budget because we are in a crisis and we see the need to save more just in case this pandemic will get worse or be extended.I have to find ways to serve dishes that are healthy to make my family more...
I haven’t done my back-to-school shopping but I’ve already made a list. I was actually waiting for my kid’s school and parent orientations so I can have a full grasp of what we need to buy this school year. I was actually waiting if there will be an actual list that will be given by my daughters’ teachers but apparently, this school year will be totally different. we are missing back to school shopping this year but it’s also good that we can save more on school spending and save the budget for next...
