It has been a busy summer vacation this year for my kids but we did not let this event pass without seeing it. After all, it’s the LegenDairy Milk Fair of the year! sampled different kinds of milkshakes in this booth love the cookie milk dips her! It was held at Whitespace Manila in Makati, the venue was huge and there were several booths that highlighted different dairy products and recipes. We were there after lunch so we easily got full of all the food samples. Ang dami! There were sweet milk dips, milk shakes, yogurt...

I’ve been indulging myself with gelatin desserts lately, because I can make them in seconds, I can control the sweetness, I can add any fruits that I want, and they are perfect to quench the summer heat. And because it will be Easter tomorrow, why not make frozen, cold, and sweet gelatin Easter eggs? Their colors made me excited and I know the kids will enjoy the fruity and milky flavors that I’m going to make. Gelatin Easter Eggs Delight – cold, sweet and fruity I didn’t have egg molds so I used the...

I became a fan of  Yeah Yeah Chinese Cuisine the first time I dined in this restaurant. You can read my past review about Yeah Yeah Chinese Cuisine here. I have to highlight though why I can truly recommend this restaurant. Their dishes are not only delicious but for me, they taste clean and well-seasoned. Clean because I haven’t tasted any greasy dish. In fact, the beef noodles do not have that greasy taste even when I ate it cold. Well-seasoned because the food I tried there were  all flavorful, savory and not salty. Yeah Yeah...

Raise your hand if you are one of those who couldn’t take their mornings as complete without a cup of “sinangag” or fried rice or a steaming cup of white rice with their favorite ulam : fried egg, fried danggit, corned beef, hotdog, etcetera!  That’s how it is at home, specially for my husband. My kids and I can live without rice (only on breakfast) but still, the choices we have for quick breakfasts are very limited. Calorie Counting Quaker Oats, our favorite quickcooking oats are here to save us all from the...

Summer’s coming and everyone will be craving for cold desserts such as halo-halo and ice cream topped with ube halaya. And because ube halaya is my all-time favorite dessert, either as a topping or a spread, I found a recipe for an exact replica. Same taste, better texture and no back-breaking cooking involved. Here’s a recipe how to make a potato halaya and potato...

The highlight of our 3-day trip in Cebu for the US Potato Safari 6 was a cook-off challenge and it was an activity that we’ve all been excited about. After visiting 3 restaurants in Cebu and tasting all those delicious dishes creatively made using the different variants of US Potatoes, who wouldn’t be excited to try making their own? The goal of the US Potato...

It was my first time to go out on a food blogging trip far away from my family but you know why I joined it? Because it’s US Potato Safari 6! And I’ve read a lot about how exciting this annual activity is, where participants visit different restaurants to discover dishes that used US Potatoes ingeniously. Group photo at MexiMama, Day 2 of US Potato Food Safari 6 As a home cook, I find it exciting to imitate dishes from the restaurants where my family eat out during special occasions or on weekends. I find it fun to tweak recipes and...

I got curious of this cookbook Bongga Sa Kusina by Regine Velasquez kaya I bought it. I love watching cooking shows especially if the hosts are celebrities I adore. Feeling ko, it puts them into a level na I can reach them and that we have something in common. When I am able to cook their dishes, I feel I get much closer to these celebrities. 😋   The recipes curated in this cookbook was from Regine’s TV show Sarap Diva. Sadly, I wasn’t able to watch any of the episodes of Sarap Diva because I’m not much of a...
