Mommy Bloggers Philippines Mother’s Day Block Screening And Fundraising Event 2022

Posted on May 13 2022 - 10:28pm by tweenselmom

This year’s Mother’s Day was a memorable one for me. It’s because after two years, we were able to see other families apart from our own to have fun and watch a movie together.

With Scarlet Witch and Dr. Strange at the Mommy Bloggers Philippines Block Screening event

Last May 7, 2022, at Cinema 1 Vertis North Ayala Malls 12PM, moms from Mommy Bloggers Philippines met and gathered for a block screening show of Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie.  I really loved the story and though there were many scenes that were quite scary for me to be watched by little kids, I was touched by Wanda/Scarlet’s witch story of wanting to be a mother, going through all sorts of means, including defying the strongest wizard Dr. Strange and his allies, just to be with her children in another universe. It’s a great story because it has a happy ending, with good prevailing evil. I also missed seeing Dr. Strange because my daughters and I find Benedict Cumberbatch so cute.

Present in the blockscreening event were cosplayers Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch and they hosted the trivia question segment before the movie screening and prizes were given to lucky attendees who were able to answer quickly.

We were very thankful to the sponsors of the event because we were all able to bring home snacks and home items that were very useful to all of us. It was a worthwhile event and we were able to come up with funds to give to typhoon Agaton vicitims.

With so many things happening in the country, it’s a great thing that we have this community with the moms where we can still find time to just relax, see and hug each other for a while, and watch a fun movie. Because mothers deserve day-offs and what can be better than having a break and raising funds for people who need them.

Mommy Bloggers Philippines was established December 2013. This group was created to gather mothers who blog all over the Philippines but is also open for Filipino bloggers from the rest of the world.

As of 2022, there are already 600+ members within the community. Most of these members, though belonging to different blogger categories, are active in blogging and social media. This makes Mommy Bloggers Philippines one of the most active blogging communities in the country.
