The Linden Suites Manila – Our Family Experience

Posted on May 17 2015 - 9:18pm by tweenselmom

Every summer vacation, if budget allows it, our family picks a hotel where we would want to spend a night and try the pool. We had stayed on several hotels already and from experience, we can amply say that Manila indeed have nice hotels and most of them are family friendly.

Last Mother’s Day, it was quite a unique experience because for the first time, well here in the Philippines, we have stayed overnight in a hotel with my mom and dad in law. The Linden Suites sponsored an overnight stay for the heads of Mommy Bloggers Philippines and each of our families stayed in one of their two-bedroom suites.  Let me tell you a quick recap of our overnight stay in this beautiful hotel.

Location
The Linden Suites is located right in the heart of Ortigas Center.
Megamall and Shangri-la are just a few minutes cab ride away.
Address: 37 San Miguel Avenue, Ortigas Center, Pasig City, Manila, 1600 Metro Manila, Philippines

We arrived at the hotel several minutes after the earliest check-in time which was 3PM. It was the day before Mother’s Day and so the lobby was a bit busy because of the families who were checking in. We say families of 2 with their babies, bigger families with their senior parents, and we also saw some group of young people checking in. It didn’t take us long before we were assisted to our room, room 2003.

Sala, Dining and Kitchen

We were impressed with the space.
This photo shows the sala and it’s already enough to accommodate all of us.
The dining table (on the left side, partially hidden) fits only the 4 adults.
The 2 kids can still fit since they are still not that big.

The kitchen complete with refrigerator, microwave, induction cooker, range hood and cooking utensils.

This is a complete kitchen with the rice cooker, and all the other stuff you need if you want to cook.
They even have dish washing liquid and foam!

Water heater for coffee and free coffee in sachets are usual in hotels, but in The Linden Suites, they have the coffee maker plus coffee grounds to use. Loved our brewed coffee in the morning after.

Bedrooms

We were provided an extra bed for the kids, but the girls of course loved to stay on our bed.
The cabinets are huge and there are lots of shelves to put our things.
Pillows: I don’t think there will be any hotel which can beat our pillows at home. Not that the pillows in The Linden Suites aren’t soft. They are just like the pillows on the 5 star hotels we’ve stayed. However, the comfort of our pillows at home is maybe based on their smell and the familiarity. No wonder we’ve seen some of the guests’ kids bringing their own pillows.
