Is Enchanted Kingdom Express Pass Worth It?

If you still don’t know it yet, Enchanted Kingdom already has an Express Pass ticket where you can skip the long queue lines. But as expected, it’s also double the price. Was it worth paying the tickets?

We got the EK Express Pass purple wrist tag

We went to EK last December with my father’s family and since we were so many, I couldn’t afford to buy everyone an Express Pass. We had to get the Regular Day Pass with my father getting the Senior Citizen discount and the birthday celebrants free regular day pass.

Since it was December, and it was the first time when we were all free to get into a theme park after the pandemic, EK was jam-packed. We got inside 11AM (opening) till 9PM (closing) after the fireworks. Yep, we really used up all the time we had there. After all, EK rides were fun and having been to HK Disneyland and Universal Studios Singapore for a couple of times, you can’t help but compare. Enchanted Kingdom rides were good and fun, Space Shuttle is even much more fun than USD’s Battlestar Galactica, and EK has lots of potential. When we got to EK this year, there were a couple of rides that were added like the Twin Spin, which fortunately, kaya ko pang sakyan, OMG!

For P1,800+ you get an EK Express Pass including access to Agila. Was it worth it?

bump car kaagad, first ride!
the girls enjoyed the first ride, I think never pa kami nakapag bump car ever before

Yes! Imagine last December, we had to wait for 1-2 hours before we are able to ride. With Express, we were able to ride at least 3 rides in an hour. Waiting can really kill the excitement and it was exhausting to wait. The disadvantage though when you have an Express Pass, is you will be exhausted too, sa dami ng masasakyan. It doesn’t help though that we got early in EK, so the scorching heat made the ride tiring and dehydrating.

So for 5+ hours (including lunch time and snacking) we were able to ride the following:

Dodgem, Flying Fiesta, Roller Skater, The Grand Carousel, Twin Spin, Swan Lake, Disk-O-Magic, Anchors Away, Agila – if we have stayed, masasakyan na siguro namin lahat (if we still have energy and if hindi umulan)

our trip to EK was sort of our pre-Valentine’s Day date, we went here with the kids when they were still toddlers
finally, my husband saw and experienced Agila – tip: if madali ka mahilo, don’t ride this, not that it’s an extreme ride, pero mahihilo ka sa gigantic screen. One senior citizen got off the ride in the middle of the show. I couldn’t blame him.
Ang saya magride sa Swan Lake, very romantic, except that you have to pedal it yourself. Careful if you have little kids with you because pwede sila maipit sa pedals and control.
We had lunch inside Amazon Grill because it was much cooler there (airconditioned) – food range 200+ per meal. Not a fan of their food though.

So my suggestion is, if you will be getting an Express Pass, go to EK a little bit late, when the weather is much cooler, maybe around 3pm onwards and stay till 9PM. After all, you’ll be able to ride all you want without waiting. And not to forget it, there are rides which open only in later hours. Rain also falls during the afternoon, like around 12-2PM after so much heat maybe. So you’ll just end up having sticky sweats when you are there in those hours. Note: I don’t know if you are a birthday celebrant and your companions have EK Pass, if you also get one automatically.

couldn’t get a decent shot of the girls when they rode Disc-o-Magic, ang bilis kasi! Masaya ang ride nato, I rode it last December when we were with their lolo and family. This day, I was exhausted na and ang init!

I hope this helps. In any case you think you can only buy the Regular Pass, at least do it within your birthday month as celebrants with companions can enter free. EK also has promos in their website that you can check out so you can save more.
