McDelivery Video – Funny, Realistic And Timely

I love this new video of McDelivery. I find it funny, realistic and very timely. Before I tell you why, if you haven’t seen it yet, spend just a few seconds to watch it, I know you’ll enjoy it :

Watching this video made me remember my husband and I’s own experiences when our daughters were still just newly born. I can say that those were one of the most difficult and most critical days since I gave birth thru Caesarian section, we didn’t have helpers, and we were first time parents. I showed this video to my husband and we both reminisced how we had the same messed-up hair, cluttered home, sleepy eyes and tired bodies, at least on the first months of our baby. We said sana, meron na ring McDelivery dati. We remembered that when the baby was finally asleep, we used to have this quick siesta like having some tea or coffee and some biscuits. If McDelivery was available then, we would have enjoyed some McDonald’s cheeseburgers, fries and nuggets, our favorite McDo food.

The video was funny in a way how the couple tried to whisper to each other, to order their food without speaking a word, and paying the bill without letting the dad’s hands leave his baby. Di ba, ang cute? 🙂

It was so realistic too, not sugarcoated, because it’s how parenting really is. Home is cluttered, you look haggard most of the times, and the couple looks like they live in a condo like most parents these days. All these situations depict a typical Filipino couple with babies they care about. Like them, most families or couples try to make do with what they have, strength, money and time. McDelivery is so convenient for us moms and dads because we can order food in just a few swipes on our phones.

The video is also timely because these are the days when most of us juggle different tasks at home and in our careers and time is gold, literally! Sometimes, we rather skip eating just to finish our tasks. But who needs to skip food when you have your phone and McDelivery?

As I write this, it’s almost 10 PM and I’m almost done with my online work. My husband is also done with the dishes, while the kids are preparing to get to bed. We may be past the infant/baby stage but the challenges of parenting goes on and on you know. But we take all these challenges one at a time. Like the couple in the video who accepts the challenge of parenting their twins, we also enjoy our parenting days as they come. And we can also enjoy McDelivery anytime 🙂
