It’s the middle of the week and I’ve just finished laundry (was able to start early, yey, mind you after I was able to finish an article, which was actually due last night.)

Thank you Lord for the energy, now looking forward to finish another due project, moms to credit from last night’s activity and so much more.
My go-to freshness? I have ready watermelons in the ref, both red and yellow. Did you know that watermelons have so many nutrients that can help us heal and help skin repair? Well, most fruits are nutritious but watermelons, we can get them almost the whole year round from the grocery.

5 great reasons why you should eat watermelons:

5 Top Reasons Why You Should Eat Watermelons

1. It helps us to hydrate. Obviously because watermelons have lots of liquid – actually it’s 92% water, imagine that! It’s like drinking water just a lot yummier and healthier.

2. It’s low calorie – 46-calories per cup. I’ve always thought that there’s a lot of sugar because there are watermelons that are so sweet sometimes but when you eat in moderation, they can be refreshing and yet still healthy to eat.

3. Watermelons are good for hair and skin because they contain vitamin A and C. Love this so much because my skin is getting flaky most of the time maybe due to the weather and hormones plus I have falling hair from time to time.

4. It’s cheap and available all year round. I can’t remember when watermelons ever vanished from the grocery and I buy these watermelons that were already sliced. So I just stock a lot in the ref so me and the kids can easily get a few slices whenever we want to.

5. Lastly, this is the only fruit (aside from mangoes) that my kids like to eat so I can have them eat fresh, in fruit shakes, in salads, in a fruit bowl, and sometimes I use them in a dish like in this Watermelon Sinigang.

How about you? How much do you enjoy watermelons?
