Have you paid your SSS yet? We have just paid ours for the first quarter of 2015. Last year, we skipped several months due to financial constraints but this year, we want to start with a better year in paying our dues. As a work at home mom, it definitely pays to pay SSS because it’s like a barnyard of benefits when time comes. If you think you are already late for this quarter, there’s still a few days left. Check your SSS number and see this SSS 2015 schedule of payment and contribution. schedule of payment as extracted from...

Summer break of the kids won’t mean that work at home moms like me will also be taking vacation. We still have to work for a living like everybody else working in offices. Summer vacations can be less stressful because there will be less task in preparing the kids for school, hubby doesn’t have to wake up early to prep the car and bring the kids to school, plus we have a break in reviewing lessons. The dilemma comes over the days when we have to work and my grown up kids are all free and they have to stay at home. So I’ve...

My youngest Mariel likes dainty dresses and so, when I saw Lemon Kiss’ designs from their Facebook Page, I instantly liked what I saw. I am certain my daughter will love to wear their colorful and pretty apparels. From the photos in Lemon Kiss’ Facebook page,  one stood out for me. I love aquamarine! This will be perfect for Mariel when she goes on stage to receive her medals (yabang lang :-)) Mariel Loves Dresses It’s a good thing that my daughter likes to wear dresses because I think not all little girls like to wear...

This is just a quick post and nothing negative against McDonalds. Everyone makes a mistake and what’s good about McDo is that they have a way to correct and make amends with their customers right away. Last night, we got caught in the traffic and I decided to just drive-through McDonalds in Fairview, Regalado. My husband and kids still wanted to wait and have dinner with me, even if it was very late. I remembered repeating my orders several times to the drive-through microphone. Sensing that the crew was having problems with my...

Saving digital copies of all our photos has been my husband and I’s habit ever since we met. In the past, it was very hard to keep printed photos for a long time that’s why even if we don’t have our personal scanner, my husband will always borrow his dad’s scanner just to scan our photos. Now, I think we have millions of photos stocked on our hard drives. This is how my photo albums look like when my babies were still younger. I used to put all kinds of cutey stuff like stickers and cut outs. But no matter how...

January is a wonderful month to get in touch with nature. We are lucky to be able to live in a home where the front yard is full of greens, thanks to my husband who worked hard on maintaining our mini garden. Last month, we receive a gift which was enjoyed very much by my youngest daughter, who by the way, is the most interested in nature. She loves animals and plants. Actually, she was the one who encouraged us to adopt a pet puppy which is now already 2 years old. The Explore Sandbox had numerous activities which fostered multiple intelligence....

We were so happy when we found out that Furry Tails will be having another branch in one of the nearest malls from our home, at Ayala Fairview Terraces. We have always brought our shih tzu at Furry Tails SM Fairview but they had recently moved to a smaller space in another location but in the same mall. We haven’t seen the changes in their branch in SM Fairview but I think we will be going more often in their FT branch. We usually visit FT more often because there is lesser crowd there, more comfort rooms and of course, new. Furry...

It was our first invite for a book launch and I was glad that it became an exciting and fruitful one not only for me but especially for my daughters.  Last November 30, Bianca Gonzales visited National Book Store inside Trinoma to introduce and sign copies of her book entitled Paano Ba’To?!. How To Survive Growing Up. Bianca was super early and she was already signing books when we came to the venue. Mind you, the call time was 2:00pm but when we came there by 2:05, she had already signed many of the books. I admit I underestimated...
