Gave in to my craving for Pansit Palabok using Mama Sita’s Palabok mix. I’ve always thought of trying to make my own palabok because it’s just a classic dish that we all love at home. Filipino dishes are indeed so easy to cook and so satisfying to eat.

Pansit Palabok – Giving In To My Filipino Dish Cravings

To make this dish, I used the following:

1 pack of 57g flat pouch of Mama Sita’s Palabok Mix
1/4 pack of palabok rice noodles (500g) – this type of noodles is super absorbent so you need to cook a portion if you are using only 1 pack of the palabok mix
2 boiled eggs
1 pack Purefoods Squid Rings – cooked and chopped,
crushed pork chicharon
spring onions
fish sauce (patis) and calamansi for seasoning

How to make :

Prepare the rice noodles according to packaging – put the noodles in water for at least 10 minutes before boiling for another 10 minutes or until the noodles are tender/soft to eat

I used this brand of rice noodles – Super Q special palabok noodles

Drain the noodles

Mix Mama Sita’s Palabok mix with 2.5 cups water. Mix it with the rice noodles. Season with patis and calamansi.
