You’ll easily find The Malayan Plaza in Ortigas because it’s one of the tallest buildings in the area. And because there were lots of earthquake episodes happening lately, I made sure to request a room in the lower level of the building. Fortunately, we were blessed to get a room on the 6th floor. We got a 48 sq meter room for P3,400 a night. I’ve read quite a few not-so-good reviews but we still decided to give it a try. Reviews can be fairly subjective and that’s why it’s a good thing that you read the latest...

I booked a room in Hotel 101 for the first time using Agoda and despite the fact that I am in a tight budget because enrollment will only be two months away, I still pushed through. This would be a triple celebration for us : it was our wedding anniversary, the kids were both honor students in their schools, and it was my youngest’s birthday month.  For P3,004.25, I got a standard room with 1 Queen and 1 single bed. It was our first time in this hotel and I wanted to try it because I was trying to find an affordable hotel where...

Belmont Hotel is a beautiful hotel located within Newport City in Manila, and it’s a good 10-min walk to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. You read it right. You will literally need to just cross a street to get you to one of the most important places in the Philippines. And you know what, it’s a blessing in disguise to be able to try staying in at Belmont because we’ve been searching for a hotel for so long which is located right on the same spot. Going to the airport can be a challenge when you live in the northern...

We’ve been to Tagaytay twice and we’ve checked in at the same hotel during those trips. The first was when we attended Mommy Bloggers Philippines Halloween Party at Sky Ranch and recently when my daughter had her graduation retreat in one of the retreat centers in Tagaytay. Our first stay in Destination Hotel wasn’t that good. It was a stormy day and we were tired when we checked in after a day of organizing and hosting the Halloween Party. We checked in a P3,300 a night room in Destination Hotel. It was a 30. sq.m. Superior...

More photos and experiences from our stay at The Linden Suites On our way to the pool at The Linden Suites. We were at the 23rd floor while the pool was on the 9th floor. What’s great at The Linden Suites is that elevator cards are restricted to your floor. You can’t go to the other floors where you don’t stay unless you request access from the lobby. This means the hotel is keen to the security of their guests. Loved the jacuzzi! Water here is much warmer than in the pool but its tolerable and has that soothing effect...
