An ICONic Christmas Party 2018 With My Co-Mommy Bloggers

It was an afternoon to remember when I’ve seen how my co-moms were able to enjoy and lose themselves quite a bit in the 5th Annual Christmas Party of Mommy Bloggers Philippines.

What was different this year was that we were able to celebrate in a much bigger venue, thanks to Icon Hotel Timog, with an exciting theme : MBP At The Movies. Moms love movies and we all have our own movie icons that we follow and adore. In this Christmas party, we were able to dress up like movie stars and from the outcome of the party, we all had a great time at the party.

Through the help of so many sponsors, the party became a big success. The party started noontime till 5pm, had great food buffet style also sponsored by Icon Hotel and hot coffee and delicious donuts and muffins from Tim Hortons.

The party was attended by around 30-40 moms, all active mommy bloggers, and most of us see each other at blogging events. It also helped that we regularly chat online or comment on each other’s posts on social media, and thus we are all comfortable with each other. It was so much fun that this time, we can just eat, chat, and have fun together without thinking so much of what to write after. It was also the first day of December, a nice start of the Christmas season, when all of us are all hyped to start this festive month.

What I wore at the party was nothing compared to some of the moms who really prepared for their outfits. I would have opted for my favorite movie character Bridget Jones if I had a bunny costume but since I already have a tigress blouse and a matching headband, I became Josie of Josie And The Pussycats for a night.

There were the usual favorites of the crowd, Wonder Woman, Audrey Hepburn and Snow White but mommy Lariza (Poison Ivy) was so game that night. We had so much fun taking photos of each other and these moms were really a sight to behold. I really adore them for being so game and in character that night.

There were fun games as hosted by mommy Louisa (pass the box game) and I pushed for a Family Feud type game. This is my favorite TV Show game so I did prepare some visuals.

An online contest was also held sponsored by Pampers. Pampers have always supported the community of mothers and trust us moms that we will be able to inspire other moms to be strong on their roles, while having an easier time, as Pampers premium diaper features really make our babies happy and comfortable.

The highlight of the party was of course, the raffle items and the loot bags. We had a short time gathering all the sponsors for the loot bags but thanks to the Lord, the sponsors finalized their giveaways till the day before the party itself. The moms all went with heavy bags of goodies.

Of course, a party won’t be a party without the much needed photo ops. We are so grateful that we had our photographer that day who took photos from the start till the time when we packed up.

Being in a community who shares the same passion with you is such a blessing for me. I found new friends and even confidantes through MBP and the activities we do together as co-bloggers are endless, thanks also to the brands that support us, and our readers who made our blogs alive. I really do wish that MBP and all the blogger moms will stay active for many, many years.
