Ginger is one of my favorite vegetable ingredients to use not only in cooking but also when making smoothies. 🥤🍌🍊
Ginger is known to help soothe the throat if you have itchy throats but I found out that it also helps to promote healthy aging. ( yes to that!)
When I served this Papaya/Banana/Ginger combo to my husband, he instantly loved it. I’ve served two pitchers of this already and the kids drink it too since I serve this instead of soda.
Here’s the quick recipe:
Serves 2
1 medium ripe papaya sliced, black seeds discarded
2 tbsp lime juice
1 large banana
1.5 cup orange juice ( you can use fresh or mixed powdered orange juice)
1/2 tsp grated ginger
Put the papaya, banana, orange juice, and ginger in your blender or food processor and process until thoroughly combined
Pour into glasses and serve.
Enjoy your drink!
