What’s In Incheon Korean Mart?

It has been raining almost the whole week and it will be the beginning of online schooling again on Monday, so in trying to get out of a rut, we thought to go out for a drive-thru breakfast in a new place we haven’t seen before. Good thing my husband decided to search for a bit and found this good-looking McDonald’s branch in Savano Park a couple of miles from home.

taken in a hurry 🙂 McDonalds Savano Park

When we got there, we saw this Incheon Korean Mart in the corner and we thought to give it a visit. We haven’t tried any Korean grocery store before. With my girls who are K-Pop fans, this visit definitely turned out to be fun.

The store was fairly new and the staff told us they’ve just opened a few months before. The store was clean, organized and full of Korean food items (mostly) though I saw some shampoos, and lotions and more stuff. It’s really fun seeing lots of new things, new snacks, sweets, frozen treats, and even raw meat for those who love Samgyeopsal.

There are also lots of Korean food items that have the photo of famous boy bands particularly BTS and celebrity like Park-Seo Joon.

canned coffee, juices and soda
Different kinds of mushrooms, I found their prices much cheaper compared to those being sold in big supermarkets
some of the stuff we bought, we are currently obsessed with Korean crispy seaweed

What other food items do I remember seeing there?

I remember seeing lots of cup noodles, sauces for salad, baking flour, pancake mix, Soju, mushrooms, canned goods, toilet paper, mints, soda, crispy seaweeds, and many more. The store is modestly sized and you can see everything in one shopping but it was really fun with us trying to understand the names, labels and what the products are for.

I found the store’s Facebook page and from their last post, they might be having another branch which is nearer our place. I think I’ll be cooking more Korean dishes now and excited about that!

How about you? What Korean food items have you tried or have always wished to try?
